AIR JORDAN 1

In this blog i will talk about the air jordan retro 1. The first air jordan 1 silhouette released in 1984 in a red/black color way. Designed by Peter Moore and Bruce Kilgore, the first Air jordan was released to match the Chicago bulls jerseys . Unfortunately the NBA commissioner David Stern, soon outlawed the shoe, and the shoe was later nicknamed the Air Jordan "Banned" 1 once it hit retailers. Micheal Jordan continued to wear the shoe anyways but was fined $5,000 each time he stepped on the court in them.



After the shoe released in retailers many years later instead of having nothing on the back heel of the shoe, the put an X to resemble and remember that the shoe was "banned".





 There are many other color ways of the Jordan 1s, including a black/blue color way, and white/red/black color way and many, many others. Once these shoes started to hit retail stores, sneaker connoisseurs began to give these shoes nicknames. Such as "royal" and "chicago". Usually representing the jersey colors or the colors on the shoe. The shoe is primarily made up of a leather upper and a mesh tounge. Next week i will be reviewing the Air Jordan 2.
